95% of the teachers in india are useless. They don't even know anything about the subjects they're teaching us, they just repeat everything written in books and ask us to cram things up . Most of them are failures in their field and landed in teaching field because either they couldn't find any other job. You have to pass exam and interview to become a civil servant but just a useless degree to become teacher.
I have never met a person who has passion to become a teacherand worked hard for it . All good teachers are owned by private coaching institutes. Even after all of that if there is a good teacher who wants to help you give some real skills and knowledge the burden of stupid system and outdated syllabus which they have to complete in given time won't leave any chance for them and students.

My husband got a PhD from one of the top univs in USA. He gave up a well paid job in the US to pursue his passion for teaching. Instead of utilizing his skill set, the university dumped a class of 200+ students on him with a rigorous curriculum and with no or little scope to guide the students towards research or proficiency in coding.. I know a handful of other professors in a similar situation where they came back to India to serve and help the students but they are being slapped with unnecessary and burdensome tasks.. how is a teacher expected to teach 200 students at once ? How much time can he spare to clear their doubts or to take individual interest in case they need extra push ? University on the other hand is happy charging the students Lakhs of money in tuition fees which obviously is not getting converted into a quality learning experience.

@Venkat Kamath I can share an experience man. There's this guy Tomy in SNU. He's a brilliant, extremely capable teacher (met him for KVPY Interview). But after reading about him online, he's in a pretty sad situation. He's from IIT Madras, and PhD from Kings College (fact check yourself but it's something similar). And he's teaching Natural Sciences iirc. He was very enthusiastic in the first couple of years, but then as the batch progressed, due to retarded students (papa pe paise types who do drugs hostel mein), he got fed up and now lives a chill life, as he had a decent paycheck. I can't blame him though. He could've made a career but he's stuck here.
Same is for the CS staff and the entrie UNI in general. Shame it had a nice campus.

The problem is very deep rooted.
1st thing to blame, population of India
Md Kalimullah

Bhopal jaipur indore ghaziabad jaese place mae general store Se zyada engg college
64
2nd the mentality of Indian parents that their child should have an engineering degree before doing anything else.
3rd the education system, it's outdated by ages now, I bet many schools still teach about how there are only 9 planets in the entire universe.
4th the skill level of teachers.
5th corruption as usual.
6th bad governance in general.
7th everyone has to be competitive! Why? ( unless you score 100%, I bet no one has, this thing doesn't really work, for example, imagine a 5 question test. Person A got 1-4 right scores 80%. Person B got 2-5 right scores 80%. So are they equally smart? Now you may argue that they know 80% of stuff and that's good enough, well no cause passing % is set to like 35% those guys who got 35% may have studied 45% of something else that wasn't in the paper set.) this is reason for 8th being a problem.
8th the companies hiring people based on the sheet of paper with percentage on it, which could be fake ( reason in 10th)
9th people not using common sense (i have seen some highly qualified people talk shit, even a toddler would know better.)
10th at last blame yourself for all those cheating you did in exam, on a sheet of paper you got 90% and that's it a sheet of paper, nothing actually went inside the brain.

This problem was created by Government. They gave license to those college who don't have basic faculty.
Thankfully i got selected in state run college but when i compare myself with students from punjab university affiliated colleges or khurkshit University type. They are mostly dumb or don't have skills to take a particular job.
They mostly ask what exactly my job is?
How can i do it bla bla type questions

You won’t learn coding languages in college in India. It’s more of a theoretical studies. Instead these students should learn these programming skills from YouTube or online video classes. Also work on communication through English podcast. Don’t blame on college or govt. I myself a developer now & learnt most through books & online videos. I hope they will soon improve their & get these jobs.

You pay a lot of money to universities to teach you and to make you employable. I myself do online courses and go to workshops but why should we be going and doing these things. We should have subjects which teach us the important things. My college does give you a platform but not every college does. Not everyone can afford workshops and online courses. I know you can learn things from YouTube. I myself have learnt a lot but you need a direction which colleges fail to provide. I can learn a 100 things but i need to learn those 2-3 skills that I'll actually require.

How can you not blame college and the government? The online programs are not always recognized or accredited. If you are competing with people with degrees, an online certificate would not be enough. Also, if they were to spend money on online courses after graduating, what is the point of paying lakhs to these colleges?

We should totally blame our government and the students who don't study!
According to me there are some reasons for Unemployement in Engineering sector.
1. No skill: Almost all the engineers are not interested in engineering and hence are not ready to work hard for studying.
2. Indian Parents: Indian parents don't want to listen to their children! They want a fish to climb a tree.
3. Government : Despite having more population China! Has one of the best engineering colleges.
Even IITs do not come in Top 100 universities (only IISc comes)
4. Government again: Its too lazy to change things!! Why can't we have totally changed structure of engineering all colleges should be taken under Semi Govt undertaking and Most of the low grade colleges should be turned into schools
5. Assignments: ...
6. Curriculum: NO PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE NEARLY LIMIT APPROACHING TO ZERO
7. Population and choices: People should understand they should do what is good for them not BHEDCHAL

Indian colleges and universities presurrize and focus more on theorotical part instead of streassing on practical knowledge.

My college is affiliated to mumbai university, one of my professor could not even start diesel engine in practical lab for experiment. There are so many such incidents. College is situated in jungle alike place. No placement at all. Professors are all dumb. Good teachers could not stay long bcoz poor salary nd facilities. Teachers teach in local language ie. Marathi. And most of them are younger to us just by 4-5 yrs. Some of them are from previous batch of our college. I tried off campus job hunt. They offered around 8-14 k per month in mumbai . Some ppl said, dont look at pay just collect exp, and keep on looking good opportunities. Nd these job profiles are kind of helper .....
Naa... i dont want these jobs. 1 lakh fees per year bharke 10 k salary ? Engineering is the worst decision of my life.

i am writing some points which we have to teach our new generation rather than criticizing our fate
1. student must aware of what they are doing , how it process , motive behind it (applications) and of course should not be forced by the parents to perform .
2. yes our education system is like hell.. but what we can do is try to always be reasonable (example 3 point)
3. we cannot say, there is nothing revolutionized , Internet cheap availability made us to connect the whole world .
4. curiosity in your field can make you far better ( coursera connects you worldwide teachers , many other online tutors doing fabulous work ).

IIT has really become overrated...

I don't know what to say
1. NPTEL courses are great idk y people don't participate in it
2. most of time buy ready-made projects.
3. don't participate in project competition
4. waste most vacation without doing good courses
5. they opt courses where crowd is more instead by doing some research they can get good institution n courses
6. don't do apprenticeship
7. produce fake certificates.
8. most of people do internship where they have connection do get certificate without doing anything
9. as engineer u should be up to date with tech
10. get admission where education is not up to the mark thats bcz of family or society pressure
11. in today's time even mechanical engineering students know about programming language like c/c++/python /android etc with the help of nptel or online courses
12. it's true competition is more but people with skills are getting jobs
13. obsession with govt job is also one of the reason .if not clear it will create 3-4 year of gap and market hire fresher's or with experience. and even if they get job the salary is less n they don't enjoy it all
14. most of crowd go for core branches which create huge competition instead they also look at other branches which known in private sector like mechantronics , renewable energy, industrial are one of them .
15. I have done btech too I know how people study and pass the exam
16. there are many reason like couldn't clear backlog etc
17. it's not about govt .
even govt started SMART INDIA HACKATHON a national level competition. even I have participated in it
18. even u will see free channels regarding engineering, management, economics, maths, bio, chem etc in TV telecast by govt and these lecturers from IITs NPTEL ,ignou etc like good universities

Also talking of skills ...we have not learning atmosphere....People say that most degree holders are incompatible...then why system have granted degree to them....
We not learn skills due to our system...because there is no practical training and without this all degrees are like garbage.....
I have no hope in this system....
After doing B.pharmacy we are unable to secure a 30000-40000 job also....!!
